Silver Creek Announces 1st Phase of New Base Community
110 Slope-side Condominiums to be completed in Spring 2002
SILVER CREEK, Colo
. – Silver Creek Holding Company, Inc. has announced it will break ground this summer on the first phase of a 650-unit-plus village community at the base of the ski area. The first phase will be located on the slopes east of the existing base lodge at Silver Creek Golf & Ski Ranch. This project entails building two new resort lodges designed with Silver Creek’s Western ranch heritage in mind. The two Colorado-rustic-style buildings will provide 100,000 square feet of living space for 110 slope-side ski-in/ski-out condominiums. Phase one also includes shops and other amenities clustered around an open plaza and swimming pool with ski-in/ski-out access.Silver Creek, soon to be called SolVista Golf & Ski Ranch, is developing the resort lodge condominiums in cooperation with a design and development team. The team includes John Sproule Architects and Maverick Real Estate Corp., both of Vancouver, B.C. Maverick will handle all sales and marketing with a real estate launch beginning in January.
According to Marise Cipriani, President and CEO of Silver Creek, the new project is an important landmark at the heart of her master development plan for the 5,500-acre resort.
"This project is at the core of the community at Silver Creek and will be at the center of our future development. It’s a beautiful project so far."
The resort lodge condominiums, still unnamed, will have a central check-in and covered parking. A large plaza will open to the ski slopes with amenities such as a restaurant/lounge, general store, meeting rooms and an exercise spa with weight room, Jacuzzi, sauna and heated pool. The condominiums will be close to skiing, nightlife and other outdoor activities yet still offer a sense of privacy.
The project is scheduled for completion in spring 2002.
Last spring, Silver Creek sold 97 of its 115 initial-phase Kicking Horse Lodge units in one weekend. The ski-in/ski-out condominiums, jointly developed by highly acclaimed Ironwood Builders and Silver Creek, will be completed by June. The first nine

holes of the Silver Creek Championship Golf Course also will open for play in June.
Silver Creek recently completed a land deal with the BLM, four-years in the making, which gave Silver Creek ownership to all the land within its boundaries. Silver Creek donated 500 acres of the newly acquired BLM land as a conservation easement to the Colorado Division of Wildlife.
