The Mountains
Silver Creek ski area is comprised of two separate yet inter-connected mountains. East Mountain’s terrain is primarily beginner and intermediate, while West Mountain’s terrain is primarily intermediate and advanced with limited beginner access. Silver Creek is home to Colorado’s only Guaranteed Start to Ski orSnowboard Program.
Silver Creek is the first ski area in Colorado to incorporate the teaching techniques of internationally-known ski instructor Harald Harb and his Accelerated Skier Performance SystemÔ . Silver Creek is the on-snow home of Harald Harb and teaching partner Diana Rogers.
Silver Creek is home to the second largest night skiing operation in
Colorado, with a top to bottom terrain park under the lights.

Skier Visits
After a record-breaking season in 1997/98 with 107,399 (12.58% increase) skier visits, Silver Creek experienced a decline for the 1998/99 season with 90,330 (15.89% decrease) skier visits. During 1999/2000, Silver Creek had 92,514 skiers.Base Area
All five of Silver Creek’s lifts radiate from one central hub, the SterlingFacilities Base Lodge. This central, three-story base facility houses lift ticket sales, ski school desk, information desk, nursery, child-care, rentals, retail shop, lost and found, lockers, cafeteria, restaurant, lounge, and selected administrative offices. First-aid facilities are in the Ski Patrol building just east of the Sterling Base Lodge.

In addition, through a cooperative effort with the adjacent YMCA Nordic Center, cross country skiers have an additional 100 kilometers from which to choose, making the Silver Creek/YMCA system one of the largest in Colorado.
